Product Fit
- Choose TPU when the finished product needs flexibility, soft hand feel or bending resistance.
- Use sample testing to select low-temperature, stronger bonding, softer hand-feel or higher-temperature TPU directions.
- Compare PES, PA, EVA or PO when heat resistance, washing, cost, or plastic bonding requirements point to another material family.

| Flexible straps and composite parts | Strap structures, pad laminates, flexible support layers and custom die-cut pieces; for brace-strap laminates, see the medical support braces and straps film matching direction. | Flex durability, bonding uniformity, aging test and any end-use compliance requirement. |
Suitable Bonding Materials
Common trial materials include polyester, nylon, cotton blends, Lycra/spandex structures, nonwoven fabric, PU leather, microfiber leather, TPU film, mesh, ABS, PC, PET fiberglass board and selected coated materials. Difficult coatings, oily surfaces, plasticized materials and low-energy surfaces should be tested before bulk order.
Selection Notes Before Sampling
| Selection Point | What To Check Before Sampling |
|---|---|
| Substrate and surface | Confirm fabric type, PU or microfiber coating, mesh structure, plastic support layer and surface treatment before grade selection. |
| Flexibility and hand feel | For garments, footwear and flexible parts, test softness, bending, stretch recovery and glue-line feel after cooling. |
| Processing window | Choose the grade by bonding temperature, pressure, dwell time, heat tolerance and whether the surface is easy to mark or deform. |
| Liner and converting | Release paper, release film or liner-free handling should be confirmed by slitting, die cutting, positioning and lamination process. |
| Final verification | Check peel strength, edge lift, washing, flexing, heat aging or other end-use tests before bulk order. |
Sample Grade Selection
The table lists the current VELNORA TPU grades, grouped by melting point. Start with the lowest-temperature grade your substrates and end use allow, then confirm with your own bonding test. Values are line-card references, not a final guarantee for every substrate.

Processing and Sample Support
Start from the lowest effective temperature for the selected grade, keep pressure even, and test peel strength after cooling. For samples, send material names, photos, target thickness, width, machine type, temperature limit and final test standard. For starting settings by TPU grade and how to adjust them for your substrate, see how to set temperature, pressure and time for hot melt adhesive film.
Samples, MOQ and Lead Time
- Samples: Sample sheets of standard grades are available for bonding tests. Tell us your substrates, equipment and target process, and we will suggest which ZF grades to test first.
- MOQ: From 1 roll for standard grades. For custom thickness, width or liner, the MOQ is confirmed with the quotation.
- Lead time: Standard grades are typically ready to ship 7-15 days after order confirmation. For custom specifications, the lead time is confirmed with the quotation.
- Roll format: Supplied on release paper in 54 in (approx. 1370 mm) wide rolls, with 24 in for selected grades such as ZF-4200. Slit rolls, sheets and die-cut pieces are available on request. Rolls are wrapped and cartoned for export.
Quality Control Summary
Typical checks include thickness, width, roll appearance, liner release, melt behavior, sample bonding, peel strength and packing condition.

Why Choose TPU Adhesive Film?
Buyers usually choose TPU adhesive film when the bonded part needs a soft hand feel, repeated bending, elastic recovery or flexible lamination. As a thermoplastic polyurethane adhesive film, it is commonly reviewed for textile layers, footwear components, PU leather, coated fabric and other flexible laminates where the bond line should move with the substrate.
Compared with PES, PA, EVA or PO directions, TPU is normally considered first for flexible structures rather than rigid board, paper packaging or lower-polarity PP/PE parts. If the project needs higher textile heat resistance, leather-focused durability, foam and paper economy, or polyolefin substrate compatibility, another polymer family may be a better starting point.
