ZF-8816

Product Fit

This PES hot melt adhesive film is designed for embroidery patch backing and garment badge production. It helps factories prepare heat-activated patch backs for uniforms, casual garments, hats, bags and decorative textile products.

The recommended public sample direction is ZF-8816. Final approval should be based on the real patch fabric, embroidery density, garment material, press equipment and buyer wash or peel test.

Key Features

  • Copolyester hot melt film for structured textile and label bonding.
  • Good dimensional stability for embroidered patches and trademark label backing.
  • Suitable for release-paper handling, die cutting, slitting and sheet conversion.
  • Higher activation temperature than many EVA options, useful when heat resistance and shape stability matter.

Suitable Bonding Materials

Common trial materials include embroidered fabric, polyester fabric, cotton fabric, Lycra, woven labels, nonwoven backing and selected garment fabrics. Coated, dyed, elastic or heat-sensitive fabrics should be tested before bulk order.

Basic Processing Guide

For ZF-8816 sample testing, the line-card reference condition is 0.1-0.4 MPa, 140-160 C, 10-15 seconds. Use this as a starting point only. The real interface temperature can differ from the heat press display, especially with thick embroidery, dense backing or multilayer fabric.

Customization and Sample Support

Roll width, slit width, sheet size, die-cut piece size and liner handling can be reviewed according to your patch production process. For sample matching, send the patch photo, back fabric, garment fabric, target thickness, heat press setting and required wash or peel test.

Quality Control Summary

For embroidery patch orders, check film thickness, roll appearance, release paper condition, blocking, die-cut cleanliness, bonding appearance, edge lift and peel result after cooling. Bulk production should follow the approved sample parameters.

FAQ

Is PES hot melt adhesive film suitable for embroidered patches?

Yes. PES film is a good option when the patch needs stable shape, clean backing and heat-press bonding after sample approval.

Can this film be used for woven labels or trademark labels?

It can be tested for woven labels, embroidered labels and trademark label backing. The label thickness, edge structure and garment fabric should be confirmed first.

What processing direction should I review first?

For ZF-8816, start from 0.1-0.4 MPa, 140-160 C and 10-15 seconds, then adjust according to patch density, substrate thickness and final test result.

What information should I send for samples?

Please send the patch material, backing fabric, garment fabric, thickness target, press machine type, expected wash test and current bonding problem if any.
