Product Categories
PES hot melt adhesive film is a copolyester-family adhesive film for polyester-rich textiles, embroidery labels, garment accessories, luggage materials, footwear components and industrial composite lamination. It is selected when buyers need a dry film adhesive with stable handling, clean lamination and a firmer bonding direction than many soft elastomer films.

Product Fit
This product is suitable for projects where the substrate contains polyester fabric, woven or nonwoven textile, decorative laminate, foam composite, label fabric, luggage material or other structured layers. PES is usually chosen for stable textile and composite bonding, while TPU is normally considered first when high softness and elasticity are the main requirement, and EVA is more common for lower-cost foam, paper or packaging lamination.

Key Features
- Good starting direction for polyester fabric, labels, luggage materials and selected textile composites.
- Dry adhesive film format supports cleaner handling than liquid glue in lamination and converting lines.
- Suitable for roll slitting, sheet cutting and die-cut preparation before bonding.
- Useful when the final product needs shape stability and a firmer bond line than very soft film families.
- Release liner options can be matched to cutting, positioning and transfer needs.
Recommended Applications
| Application Area | Typical Product / Bonding Position | Product Advantage / Selection Value |
|---|---|---|
| Embroidery and labels | Embroidered patches, trademark labels, garment badges | Clean film backing for positioning and lamination on textile surfaces |
| Textile composite lamination | Polyester fabric, woven fabric, nonwoven layers and decorative textile structures | Good starting point when polyester compatibility and dimensional stability matter |
| Luggage and leather goods | Lining materials, reinforcement layers and decorative laminated panels | Supports controlled dry-film bonding without solvent glue handling |
| Footwear and industrial components | Selected upper parts, foam composites, fabric-backed parts and converted sheets | Can be slit or die cut for repeatable placement in batch production |

Suitable Bonding Materials
| Material Group | Selection Note |
|---|---|
| Polyester fabric and PET-related materials | Often a suitable starting direction for PES chemistry and textile composite bonding. |
| Woven and nonwoven textiles | Check coating, surface finish, hand feel and strike-through requirement during sampling. |
| Foam and laminate structures | Confirm compression, surface texture and lamination flatness before bulk use. |
| Low-surface-energy plastics | Usually require separate surface treatment or a different adhesive family; PES should not be assumed as universal. |
Selection Notes
PES hot melt adhesive film should be selected by substrate pair, final hand feel, heat exposure, washing or aging requirement, liner handling and converting method. Thickness should be chosen according to surface roughness and bond-line feel: thinner films usually help reduce stiffness, while thicker films may help fill rough surfaces but can increase edge marks or hand-feel change.
Processing and Custom Supply Support
VELNORA can support PES film in roll, slit roll, sheet or die-cut format. For sample direction, provide substrate names, coating or finish, target thickness, width, liner preference, bonding equipment, expected end use and any current bonding issue. Samples are available if you want to check the film on your own material. For starting values and how to tune them on your press, see our guide to hot melt adhesive film temperature, pressure and time.
Samples, MOQ and Lead Time
- Samples: Sample sheets of standard grades are available for bonding tests. Tell us your substrates, equipment and target process, and we will suggest which ZF grades to test first.
- MOQ: From 1 roll for standard grades. For custom thickness, width or liner, the MOQ is confirmed with the quotation.
- Lead time: Standard grades are typically ready to ship 7-15 days after order confirmation. For custom specifications, the lead time is confirmed with the quotation.
- Roll format: Supplied on release paper in 54 in (approx. 1370 mm) wide rolls. Slit rolls, sheets and die-cut pieces are available on request. Rolls are wrapped and cartoned for export.
Quality Control Summary
Routine PES film checks focus on roll appearance, thickness, width, liner release, surface cleanliness, winding condition, melt behavior, packaging and storage condition. The final product should be reviewed according to the buyer’s real substrate and application requirement.

FAQ
Is PES hot melt adhesive film the same as TPU film?
No. PES is a polyester-family adhesive film often selected for polyester-rich textiles, labels and stable composite structures. TPU is usually selected when softness, flexibility and elasticity are more important.
Can PES film be supplied with release paper?
Yes. Release paper or release film can be discussed by grade, film tack, die-cutting method and transfer process.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Please share substrate names, product structure, target thickness, width, liner need, supply form, bonding equipment and intended application. This helps narrow the sample direction before production testing.
Can PES film be used for every textile?
No. Coating, fiber type, surface finish, fabric texture and final use can change the result. PES is a useful starting direction for many polyester-related structures, but each project should be matched by material and process.

When Should Buyers Choose PES?
PES adhesive film is a thermoplastic polyester adhesive film direction for buyers who need stable textile lamination, embroidery patch backing, labels, selected heat-resistant textile structures and polyester-related bonding projects. It is useful when the project is closer to textile stability and label or patch construction than to soft elastic TPU laminates.
TPU may be reviewed first for softer stretch structures, PA for leather or durable reinforcement directions, EVA for foam, paper or cost-sensitive lamination, and PO for PP, PE, TPO or other lower-polarity substrates. This makes PES a focused polyester adhesive film option rather than a generic replacement for every hot-melt bonding project.
